"Well, I didn't do myself a favor by changing the insole in my tennis shoe the day before the marathon. The ball of my foot started burning so that slowed me down. All I wanted to do this year was cut back on my time and that…"

"This really stinks. I have apparently injured my right leg from pushing myself too hard. Don't know yet if it is a muscle, bone, joint, etc... injury. I will call my local Dr. on Wed. and ask if I can be referred to a special…"
Hi Ray, my daughter had her first seizure in May of 08, tonic clonics. This past summer she hit a rough spot with breakthrough seizures. She was training really hard and in the heat. After the 2nd med increase she had another and her epileptologist ordered a blood test to see where the meds were and they were still low so another med increase came. I can't say it has helped with a decrease in her seizures but I do know she loves to run and it does seem to help when she is down. She made it to Cross Country Regionals this past Saturday, she is injured and still ran a 14:53(2 miles). She was disappointed but I wasn't. She is only in the 9th grade and was running with the Varsity Team. One Proud MOMMA!!
Hi, I feel that when I am getting stressed or anxious feelings I just start walking on my treadmill and listen to my music and then I start feeling better. I have talked with the local EFA and the meetings are too far away and if I wanted to start up a local meeting then I would have to lead it and I am not sure that I can do that right now. I live in such a remote area that there are not a lot of people in my town and we just moved here so I don't have a lot of connections yet. I do live at a retreat center and that would be good to have a retreat here. it is in the mountains and lots of things to do. www.horncreek.org
