I have spoken several times with 2nd Chances and know she would be away for testing and also away from her computer. This seems like it was 6-8 weeks now. Have you heard from her? Her message page appears inactive. Thanks, Art

robb phillips said… after a feww years on this earth ,pushing 60, and 46 of them on drugs of some sort or another for epilepsy I have come to the point I will tell anyone, anywhere, anytime that I am epileptic some ask silly questions like "Can I watch you have your next fit" others will ask if it hurts. most with the exception of the silly ones I try to answer.
I have never seen a support groupof any kind for epilepsy so a few friends are my support if I have a seizure
I really wonder how this will affect my senior years I have this horrid feeling that I could die from the effects of a seizure as I get older unless something is done and
soon meds are increasing and working for awhile then bang a seizure occurs,I ask about an operation and am told my brain function is normal, like WTF,gimme a break if my brain is normal why do I seize I asked a doctor and he didnt know.asked a neurologist and all I got out of him was that the test says your brain is normal.
I WANT TO FIND INFO ON AN OPERATION
no one will help

Hi Lorne, Thank you for being my friend. I agree with you. I am more comfortable referring to myself as a "person with epilepsy." A person always comes first. Epilepsy is something we have. It is a part of us, but it is not who we are. Each one of us is a unique and unrepeatable person. Some of us have epilepsy. I try to only use the term "epileptic" is when defining a seizure that is a neurological event caused from hyper-electrical activity in the brain.
Thank you again, for choosing me as a friend.
Teri
