Giuseppe D. said… Stopping your meds cold turkey is a recipe for disaster. Your body has been on the meds for a while, with the sudden stoppage in the intake of meds you can go in a withdrawal of the meds. Since your body has become medically dependent on the meds. You may have a massive seizure if you go cold turkey without the meds. As I did without Phenobarbital – and that was with my doctor’s supervision. He later scaled back my dosage and weaned me off Phenobarbital in a matter of 5 months.

Giuseppe D. said… Do you have any balance issues? The reason why I ask is because when I was on Lamictical I had balance issues.

Good Luck with your health.
Giuseppe D. said… Yes, I have been on Topamax for over nine years. Common problems involved with Topamax for me is Word filtering or having an easy use of words. For instance, ill fumble with the simplest words – getting them out of my mouth. Not a stutter but a search for the words.
To-day, I am on the VNS or Vagus nerve stimulator along with Topamax, Depakote ER, Klonopin, and Primidone.
What meds are you on?
Good luck.
Giuseppe
