hi steve! nice to meet you.i came down with epilepsy two years ago at age 22 and im on 750 mg keppra generic brand.i have tonic clonic seizures and im unemployed.

Looking at the previous conversation, I agree that I have very strange and vivid dreams, too. I always had even worse dreams when I had a TC in my sleep, but my current meds (Lyrica+Vimpat) seem to have taken care of that. I still dream crazy stuff, but at least it's usually not scary crazy stuff anymore. The worst dreams are when I dream I had a seizure. YUUUCK!

My first siezure was a Grand Mal then a focal and then tapered to just a simple for my last one. I have had great strides since I have added a psychologist who specializes in sleep disorders. My nero suspected my siezures were due to lack of sleep. I do get very vivid wierd dreams and wonder if its the drugs or I have a siezure in my sleep as the body shuts down to automatic mode. After a year I was cleared to drive but I have panic and anxiety attacks while driving. I will even pull over or take a back country road instead of the highway. Highways freak me out... call it paranoid.... then I pop a Lorazapam med and it chills me out.

My Nero told me to only take the brandname Keppra; however, my copay is $50. The generic is only $7. My Nero said best results are with brandname and there has been reports of a breakthrough siezure under generic. Well, even after my Nero wrote for brandname I still got dispensed generic. Might be a mix up when I changed pharmacies. So, far the generic is fine but I do get those damn aura's. Aura's have been explained by my psychologist as panic and anxiety attacks with a mix of post traumatic disorder (PTSD) from my first siezures. I take Keppra, Lamictal, and anxiety PTSD meds Remeron and Colanazepam. Nero also gives me a monthly script for Lorazepam that I take when I feel an aura. My siezures are from a stroke I had when I was 38 from a torn carotid artey from an accident. I tell ya, that first siezure (2007)was not as bad as the 3 following it. I've been siezure free from November 2007. I had a couple panic and anxiety attacks after that which mimick a siezure. I hit rock bottom at one point that made me have severe deppression. Thats where the psychologist was recommended and diagnosed me with siezure PTSD bringing on panic and anxiety attacks. I never left my house cause of paranoid feelings.
