Hi my name is michela and im new on here. I would really like to know what other teens have gone through with epilepsy and how you are dealing with school situations.

I'm new here. I'm 16 almost 17. I've been having seizures for 1 year 6 months. I was diagnosed with epilepsy about 3 mouths ago at the same time I found out I have tonic-clonic seizures. I would like to get to know what other teens have gone through with epilepsy.

Hi I'm Nick and while I'm not new to epilepsy I am new to the community and I don't know anybody that has it. So I'm just looking to talk about things in general. Maybe help someone in the process.

Hey everybody! C: I am new on here so I could use some people to talk to! >.< I'm 15 and was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2011, I have myo clonic and gran mal seizures.... so umm yeah that just in a nut shell :P

Hi my name is Taylor and I have Primarily Generalized Epilepsy . It took 4 yrs. for the hospital to figure out what was wrong with me and this all started in 7th grade and I was 12 when it first started . I'm new to this site so bare with me please . I don't really know what to put on here.I am 16 now and I don't mean this in a bad way I just wish I had somebody alive to share this seizure knowledge with my family . I feel that my friends just don't even care anymore , sure they know what to do but I just feel like they don't care . I just wish that they would understand my friends would understand . I'm on Zonisamide 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening . Which this medication makes you very emotional if you take over 2 so my doctor dcreased me down to 4 i was on 6 and my mom noticed that I wasn't her child anymore like as if something came over . Zonisamide makes you very emotional and along with high school stuff going on and friends situation , I thought I was going into Depression last week because i felt tired all day and i take Clonazepam 1 mg at night and folic acid 2 mg .But I use to take the Zonisamide all at once in the evening and my mom and i think that was to much of an overload . And I don't feel as bad as I did . But yeah there is tension between my friends and i . And I hate that . :(

My name is Tania I started having grand mal seizures when I was 10 but now iam 29 but look younger I need to talk to people younger then me and people like me that has the same promblem as I do I take lamictal 100 mg I am seizure free for now I had my last two seizures in 2003 from then I had no seizures but you never know they might come back someday

Hi there - My 12 1/2 year old daughter is struggling with epilepsy. She was just diagnosed and feels very alone. We still do not have a med mix that is controlling them. Is there any young lady out there who would be interested in supporting her by starting email communication? She feels like no one understands and I would love it if she could find a "big sister" to help her through all this.

Hey Clare, I'm new to the site too, but I understand what you are going through. I was just diagnosed and have missed the entire 4th marking period of school because of my time in the hospital. It really does get lonely sometimes, but hopefully this site will help. Just so you know I'm 16 so at least you have someone around your age to talk to. :D

Hey everyone. My name is Clare and I am just joining the site. I have had seizures since I was 8 but once I turned 14 they happened more and more frequently. I am 15 now and my parents have pulled me out of school. It gets lonely not knowing anyone else with seizures and feeling like no one understands.
