Comment by Mark Alan Benell on November 7, 2009 at 2:55pm: I'm amazed that VA has a site for support for people (like me) with epilepsy. Having moved here from NJ about 12 years ago, I looked upon VA as a more rural than suburban area.

I haven't really thought of anything to discuss yet, having just found this site, but it's great to know it's here!

I hope you and I will not have to fight our health insurance about brand pills that keep us seizure free, surgery that may help us lead a normal life. Let us advocate for good affordable health insurance for all.

Comment by Zepeda on April 15, 2009 at 2:12pm: Just started having seziures about 6 months ago and I am amazed about how they are very few support groups and not alot of research information and how much people aren't inform we can still function but we have our good and bad days, my epilepsy is a result of chemo. When I was dealing with cancer there was alot of support groups out there.. Now we are kinda on our own..
