My name is Michelle and I am from Gulfport. I recently posted but have to say one thing. Please don't assume that because you might not be informed on what is really going on that people are not working on things and don't wait for anyone to make a move.
It takes everyone to work hard and create awareness. It has been a passion of mine since I was a child who went through having Epilepsy. In Gulfport, we have a great support group. There are people all over Ms, whom I have met who have done things such as visit or call their sentaors, congressman, wrote the papers, passed out get smart quizzes, had petitions signed, had the foundation go to their childs school and educate them. People are working hard daily for those of us who have Epilepsy. Please don't sit back and just wait, get on the bandwagon, help out. It's going to take all of us to make a difference. There are support groups in the different areas. If you don't know about them call our local foundation and ask if there is one close to you.
