Seizure Tracker

www.SeizureTracker.com was created as one family's solution for logging seizures and medications in a way that makes it easy to share information with doctors. We ended up with was a powerful, comprehensive tool that needed to be shared.

I keep a detailed account of my seizures like time they happen how long they lasted and so forth on my calender than later transfer it to a pocket calender and my doctor is happy with that because it helps her to work with me on finding a solution. Of course I have had to ask others questions as to how long they lasted and what happened during the seizure but usually write it all down and share it than with my neurologist and it also gives me a feeling of happiness when I see all the days I go without having any problems.

My Lamictal and Vimpat doses have been altered many times over the past year. I know you can change the dose on your profile, but is there a way to show the current dose each day? I just put in my current dose and wrote the changes underneath.

My neurologist is all for tracking seizures. I find it very useful to have something to mark when you have a seizure.

My neurologist and my epileptologist would like additional means of sorting the seizures.  They are both particularly interested in being able to get reports based on a single, or multiple "possible triggers".  The ability to create reports that only include particular conditionswould better enable doctors to detect patterns in my seizure activity.

Thank you for your attention.

Hi,

I'm new, but not to epilepsy.  What I am trying to do is help by asking people to sign a petition on Change.org that helps improve epilepsy treatment.  The link is below.  You will have to join, possibly search for "epilepsy" and sign.  No cost.

Today I saw a neurologist who specializes in sleep disorders. She was quite pleased that I am using "Seizure Tracker", and informed me that she has met the creators and expressed her feelings directly to them. She loves the "create reports" application and used it, on the spot, to illustrate a pattern in my seizure activity.

Thanks again for this wonderful tool.

I saw my Epileptologists last Friday. When I sat down in his office, the first thing he said to me is "I see that you have been having a lot of seizures recently..." . I was surprised. Then upon seeing my expression, he asked if I minded him checking my "Seizure Tracker" account. I told him that I gave him the user name and password just so he could check any time.

Carlton,

I wish everyone had doctors who are as responsive and involved in care! It sounds like you have a great epilepsy group. Thanks for sharing this experience, are they having luck at getting better control for you?

Lisa

When I made my Epileptologist, aware that I use this site, I also gave her my log in information.. The team actively uses the site to monitor my seizure activity. I know that it sounds like much for busy doctors to bother over, but they are an impressive team.
The sections (in Seizure Tracker) that allow me to leave notes, (regarding my condition before and after the seizure) are especially useful for communicating details that are usually forgotten later.

I spoke to my doctor's office today, due to a tonic clonic seizure yesterday morning. By the time he had returned my call, he had already reviewed my notes on Seizure Tracker.
