Does anyone have experience with Lennox Gastaut or know anything about it?

Just dropping by to say "hello" to all my Minnesota friends. :) I enjoyed going to the Epilepsy Conference in 2009. I reside in the Northern part of Iowa, but stay in tune with some of Mn's happenings. For everyone participating in Camjp Oz this Summer...have a wonderful time :)

If any of you are familiar with the Sanford Health network, just wanted to share that I work in one of their Iowa hospitals. It's good to stay in tune with healthcare "happenings" and up-coming continued changes.

Feel free to drop me a line on my page.

It was May 2009 and I was at the doctors with my daughter , I do not remember the seizure I had , My Daughter said I was not myself and she was worried so when we got home she told her Dad and he said he had seen me do the same behavior the night before..They brought me to the hospital and I was Diagnosed with Epilepsy..Wow did that Scare me …I didn’t even understand that anything was wrong..It felt so strange. My memory was terrible everything felt foreign to me, I wanted to scream and did ..Why am I not like everyone else, what did I do to myself that this is happening… I was given My meds and sent out the Door I did not receive seizure awareness and what kinds of seizures there was until I studied it and read books I was put on Topamax in the beginning and I could not sleep…The Doctors weaned me off of Topamax and I am taking Keppra now . I wanted to talk with someone who had Epilepsy, but I was Homebound and cannot get to groups..So I searched Epilepsy on Facebook and have meet the most Amazing people that understand my struggle.. Well guess what ..I did not do this to myself ..and know that having Epilepsy has made me a Stronger person..I reached out to others and in talking with them we found common ground and a support system that has helped me understand I am not Alone in this

.. I have Complex Partial Temporal lobe seizures and Myclonic..had a hysterectomy in August for endometrioses and since that have been not well , Mayo clinic is going to help. They are going to put me through a exstanceive Pain rehabilitation program .. Taken it a Day at a Time ...there are so many things I can’t remember ,, have lost some of memory due to seizures .. At age 20 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I was doing good with my pain and have had lots of surgeries for endometrioses .So in August of 2009 I had a Hysterectomy ..One of My neurologist stated to me that my Brain has stopped protecting itself and my instance body pain brings on my seizures..But with time and patience and a positive attitude I will understand how to help myself and how to help others who are struggling with this Unknown Disease..Epilepsy is just as hard for our families , Doctors , Communities , because it is so unknown…We need to Help One Another to find the answers. This Journey I am on is a hard one ,but at the same time it is an Amazing one.. Let Go let God Guide US on this Journey
Thank you
God Bless Everyone
