Comment by Angela Doescher on May 2, 2013 at 12:30am We have been lucky to get a lot of news press here in our area. My son raised money to get a service dog. We had to raise $13,000, we raised $14,800 in one night using Epilepsy as the main focus, and more on other fundraisers.
I am now working to get Google to use a doodle I made- You can read more on my son and all the awareness we have done so far on his site: http://www.Strydersstory.com
The please is here: http://strydersstory.com/dear-google-doodle-team/

Would love if we could spread this around to get Epilepsy in front of everyone.

Comment by Alainna Robles on April 19, 2013 at 3:10am Hope no one reads it wrong, like an attack on the Cancer Society. That wasn't my intention. Obviously the newspaper found it interesting, otherwise they wouldn't have called me to verify my info.
Comment by RANDY SHERMAN on April 19, 2013 at 3:00am Alainna,
I hope everything works out w/ the newspaper . Anything that we can get out can help
GOOD LUCK !!! :)
Comment by Alainna Robles on April 19, 2013 at 2:04am I think my letter to the editor will be published in our paper because I got a phone call from the newspaper this afternoon verifying my letter to the editor. Think my parents will be surprised to see I sent something in.
Comment by Alainna Robles on April 18, 2013 at 3:30am I sent a letter to the editor saying they should use one color for cancers, and that I have supported them in the past via participating in their "Relay For Life," but that Epilepsy is so misunderstood and that purple is for Epilepsy Awareness. My title was "No offense to American Cancer Society or 'Relay For Life.'"
Comment by RANDY SHERMAN on April 18, 2013 at 2:27am I understand your frustration ALAINNAA,
The CANCER society/org whatever they go by need to use 1 color for all cancers. They can keep the pink for BEAST CANCER , but all the other cancers shout be one color
Comment by Alainna Robles on April 18, 2013 at 1:22am the city I live in wants to paint the downtown businesses purple for cancer(there was an article about the "Relay For Life" in our paper today, and the American Cancer Society wanted the downtown painted purple as well, I have nothing against them & I've done the "Relay For Life" before, but I think Cancer has enough colors-they've got pink for breast cancer, and other colors for other types) I responded on the newspaper's website(www.journaltimes.com) that it should be painted purple for Epilepsy too, as it is the color of Epilepsy Awareness.
