My son told me that during my recent seizure he found me fondling/playing with a piece of frozen chicken I removed from the freezer. On one occasion my wife found me powdering my feet with sugar. During one seizure I was found pouring milk on the kitchen table. Then using my arms to try to prevent it from falling off of the table. I believe the funniest had to be when my son and his brothers girlfriend were driving in the snow. Amanda said to Michael, look at that guy walking in the snow with no pants on. Michael took a close look and said THAT'S MY FATHER. They put me in the car and drove me home. Wish they got some of this stuff on camera. lol!!

Permalink Reply by Tony Murray on January 30, 2012 at 7:07pm I never let it bother me. I'm proud and walk with my head high. Here I am, a person with seizures. Instead of letting it get the best of me I was out there taking the train and bus to work 40 + hours. I don't mind others laughing along with me . Always had a great sense of humor.
Well, I have to say it was funny but not everyone felt that way. I coached my oldest son's baseball team and as I was coaching third base, I had a seizure and when I came to, I found I took over for the runner at third. They told me I acted like I was taking a lead off the base. The other coach wanted my team to forfeit because I was wasting time but my wife told him I was having a seizure and the best thing he could do is let her take care of it. My son said he had never mom so mad. lol

Permalink Reply by Christopher jarrett on January 31, 2012 at 9:36am Gosh, just like me Tony, although I was at work, was in the bathroom stall , and from what my co-workers tell me, came out of the bathroom, with my pants gone, and began walking around the Home Depot I work at....with a co-worker struggling to cover me up. I only found out when some of the cashiers started joking about their "view" the previous day. I was mortified at first, but then figured, what the hell...seizures are gonna happen, might as well let THEM enjoy.
I really dont know if this seizure related but Ive been accused of doing things that I know I didnt do.
Apparently I have the ability to be fully concious and then to go and stand in the middle of all my friends and announce that Im possessed and then to go on with what I was doing and then never remember any of it.
Ive been accused of doing things like that.
The only one I actually know happened is when I apparently repackaged the ground beef and put it back in the fridge. I came to standing in front of the sink with water running and the fridge door open. The last I knew, I was preparing to make a hamburger on the other side of the kitchen.
Some things are harmless. some things are just strange.
Am I possessed? am i just dealing with a neurological disorder? why does my body get pushed around by invisible forces sometimes and how did they know there was a camera recording my actions when I didnt know? I dont wish to explain that but its one question I was thinking about just today in my search for what the Truth really is.

Permalink Reply by Sara Pena-Gonzalez on February 2, 2012 at 6:15pm Haha thats so funny and sad at the dame time and good for you for walking with your head held high. I made it 5 months seizure free! and am hoping to keep this seizure free stuff going but I have not walked with my head high yet, yesterday I found out I have TMJ and and Been Clenching my Jaw which my dentist says can be caused by anxiety and I know it can trigger a seizure. I had been hiding my anxiety about having another seizure which is causing my TMJ. I need to just laugh and enjoy life like you are because I know how lucky im am to be on a medication on the lowest dosage and it's keeping me seizure free.

Yikes! Can't say I've had experiences like that! It's good that you can laugh about it.
My favorites are the language issues I have from the meds. Last week I was at work speaking to a salesman on the phone. I wouldn't have the authority to buy what he was selling, that would be my supervisor. I meant to say 'the guy above me' but said 'the guy on top of me' instead.
A sense of humor is essential dealing with these things.
